Every website has to have a boring bit. In fact most are cringingly dull. This is our effort, so apologies. Actually it isn’t bad now after being revised every few months for the last few years usually on long
haul flights.

Background

• We are a nine year old full service production company (never been entirely sure what ‘full service’ means but it sounds faintly professional). We make ‘moving image’ communications
• We use all the media currently available including DVD, CD-ROM and online applications
• As technologies converge we work in graphic design, animation, web programming and applications
• Typical uses include TV advertising, training, e-learning and staff motivation, external sales and customer relationship building, large scale corporate presentations blah blah. We don’t know what ‘below’ or ‘above’ the line actually means anymore (it’s never bothered us)

Keep reading, it gets better...

• We have experience in all aspects of the business. We are generally balding and a bit porky (only the boys of course, the girls are faultless and know it)
• We do an increasing amount of comms consultancy, which sounds extremely impressive, but essentially means we tell you what we think would work and stamp our feet when you disagree (and are proved right – that’s especially annoying)
• We have long term relationships with blue-chip friends based on openness and a total commitment to the delivery of a highly effective product. If it won’t work, we tell you nicely
• We don’t believe in any one ‘killer’ piece of technology. They all have a place. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Social Networking being this year’s case in point
• We generally love our sub-contractors, suppliers and partners who we treat as integral to our success – almost as much as cake and who are usually a whole lot cleverer than us and in the main, equally follicularly challenged
• Whilst we’re Carbon Neutral we’re very much Cake Positive.

Kit and People

• Main production office near Faringdon, Oxfordshire, a town which The Independent recently described as ‘comatose’. Actually that’s kind
• HD digital edit suites (4 at the last stocktake) for video production. Loads of machines with flashing lights that look impressive and occasionally break down
• Lots of legal software and some dodgy downloads that mysteriously appear on the network and are quickly dealt with
• Small group of freelancers and partners when extra capacity (for eating Jaffa cakes) is required
• A fully equipped Citroën Berlingo with removable Sat Nav and integral cassette deck for playing all those tapes of illegally recorded songs on longer journeys. Several other vans with CD players, one with an iPod connector
• A red SMEG fridge and a football table like a real agency
• We don’t work on either Christmas Day or Boxing Day as our mums would be cross.

Clients

• We haven’t lost a client for years. A couple went bust (nothing to do with us)
• Our business has grown (steadily) through recommendation, word of mouth and wining and dining (ourselves)
• If you’re looking for lots of corporate hospitality and tickets to rugby matches please call pretty much anyone in Soho and enjoy paying for it one way or another. We bought someone a Crayfish and Rocket sandwich once and our bookkeeper had a fit
• Go and look at the list – there are people on it you might have heard of. Sadly, Woolworths and Zavvi and those bad debt gits at Brooklands Publishing have been removed to protect the innocent.
