Discovery

BMW wanted to communicate the launch of their all new MyBMW app. A step forward from the existing ConnectedDrive app and one that would eventually replace its predecessor. The launch was significant as it sets the foundations of their connected ownership experience, yet the messaging had to be subtle as many of the new features would be incremental and arrive in the future.

Our challenge – to create a benefit led film that drives home the features and benefits of the app, encouraging existing BMW owners to download MyBMW and be better connected to their car than ever before.

Idea

To create an animated showcase, in keeping with the animated world we created for the New Car Locator animation (https://stock.bmw.co.uk), yet distinctly separate, to provide a concise overview of features and benefits of the MyBMW App. Using carefully crafted messaging and animation, the film will effectively communicate key customer benefits and the added value the App will bring to their driving experience.

Additionally, the film will talk to retailers in terms of Service Booking Online and the opportunity for a closer connection to their customers over the course of their vehicle ownership.

Impact

From concept to storyboarding we delivered a perfectly blended combination of crafted designs, text and engaging 2D and 3D animation to be viewed throughout BMW showrooms, on their social channels and within their internal comms platforms.

Content that works seamlessly to support the customer during the ownership of their vehicle and which promotes direct and on-going contact with the retailer.
